“My Real Fans Won’t Pass This!’ Van Morrison Alumni Band to perform at Fareham Live…

The Van Morrison Alumni Band will perform in Fareham this autumn.

Following their successful 2024 UK tour, the band will celebrate Sir Van Morrison’s songwriting legacy with a 2025 UK tour.

The tour coincides with the year of Sir Van’s 80th birthday and will honour the influential musician and songwriter.

The UK tour kicks off with a show at London’s Adelphi Theatre on Tuesday, September 30, before touring the country throughout October and November.

The band will perform at Fareham Live on Friday, October 17.

The project carries Sir Van Morrison’s personal endorsement, underscoring its authenticity and significance.

Reflecting on this project, Sir Van shared: “These songs are meant to be sung and heard, and I am really happy that Leo is carrying the torch.”

The tour is curated and hosted by renowned saxophonist, broadcaster, and long-time Van collaborator Leo Green.

Leo said: “I have been truly humbled by the reaction to this project – it was such an honour for us to present these incredible songs to audiences around the UK in 2024 and I have already started planning what will be on the set-list for 2025, which marks 30 years since we recorded the ‘Days Like This’ album with Van – we will definitely be featuring some of the songs from that incredible album.”

Audiences can look forward to hearing beloved classics from his vast repertoire of 50 albums, including enduring hits like Brown Eyed GirlMoondanceDays Like This and Into the Mystic, as well as selections from one of the most remarkable catalogues in music.

The Van Morrison Alumni Band is composed of musicians who, collectively, have shared the stage with Sir Van for thousands of concerts and contributed to the creation of some of his most celebrated albums.

The Van Morrison Alumni Band is a group of all-star musicians, who have between them accompanied Van Morrison in more than 2,500 concerts around the world and have amassed more than 500 recordings credits on the singer’s albums dating back several decades and include: Leo Green (sax), Matt Holland (trumpet), Alec Dankworth (bass), Robin Aspland (piano), Geoff Dunn (drums) and will be joined by: Gary Baldwin (hammond), Matt White (guitar), Jo Harman (vocals).
