Recruiting analyst makes strong statement about 5-star QB George MacIntyre’s commitment to Tennessee……

The Tennessee Vols made one of the biggest recruiting splashes of the offseason back in January when they landed a commitment from five-star quarterback George MacIntyre.

Tennessee made MacIntyre a top priority and closed the deal with the elite five-star recruit thanks to a strong relationship with Vols head coach Josh Heupel, offensive coordinator Joey Halzle, and the rest of UT’s quarterback room.

Other top programs like Alabama, Michigan, LSU, and Oregon, among others, also pursued MacIntyre.

It was the Vols, however, that made the strongest impression on the Tennessee native.

And if any Tennessee fans are afraid that one of those other programs could jump back into the battle and swipe MacIntyre from the Vols, they shouldn’t be.

MacIntyre is as committed to Tennessee as it gets.

247Sports recruiting analyst Tom Loy made it clear this week that MacIntyre is “not wavering” in his commitment to Tennessee.

Those comments from Loy don’t come as much of a surprise considering the chill-inducing video that MacIntyre released after he announced his commitment to Tennessee.

“There’s always been one place close to my heart,” said MacIntyre in the video. “It’s where I learned about family and faith. And it’s where I was born to play football. From Nashville to Knoxville, the Mississippi to the Smokies, there’s just something special about Tennessee. This isn’t a decision, it’s a calling. And Volunteers answer the call.”
