‘Why I resigned from the Cincinnati Bengals today”Domenique Davis announced…

The Cincinnati Bengals have waived defensive tackle Domenique Davis, the team announced Monday.

Davis, a first-year player out of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, was signed off the team’s practice squad to the active roster on Friday. He spent the first 14 games of the regular season on the team’s practice squad after being waived during the team’s final roster cuts.

Davis originally went undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft, then signed with the New York Jets before being waived later that summer with a failed physical designation.

Davis was out of football until February 23rd, 2022 when he was drafted by the Houston Gamblers of the United States Football League. He played in 10 games for Houston with 24 solo tackles and four sacks.

Then on July 26th, Davis signed with the Bengals and eventually made the practice squad for the 2022 season.
