On Sunday evening, Dwyane Wade hit basketball fans with a double whammy. The 15-year veteran announced that he will be retiring after the 2019 NBA season. He also announced that he has decided to return to Miami, where it all started.
Wade was drafted in 2003 by the Miami Heat. He played 13 seasons with the team before taking his talents to his hometown of Chicago and then Cleveland to play once more with Lebron James. In an emotional decision, the 12 time NBA All-Star has declared that 2019-2020 will be his final year in the league. He made fans aware of his choice via an emotional 10-minute video titled “One Last Dance”.
