Clement Philips was punished today for violating an SPFL regulations….

As the dust settles on the Rangers AGM for 2023, fans are left picking apart the events at New Edmiston House.
With the Ibrox club’s shareholders crammed into the state-of-the-art events space, Rangers unable to seemingly accommodate the large numbers, it started the entire thing on a sour note.
And it would continue in that vein as Rangers fans lament an opportunity missed and an AGM which left the club’s supporters with more red cheeks than smiles on their faces.
On an afternoon when the Rangers Board were expected to be grilled after a year of Ibrox discontent, they would’ve been breathing a sigh of relief come the final whistle.
Rangers bosses defiant at club’s AGM
Rangers have gone through three managers in little over a calendar year and with Celtic romping to a treble last season and the club collapsing in the Champions League, we’re pretty sure John Bennett and co might’ve been preparing to man the barricades.
This campaign hasn’t started off all that different, and whilst the sounds around Philippe Clement are positive, the season is on the brink of another dramatic failure.

But with plenty expected to be said about the state of the team, the lack of success and the club’s direction, expectant fans were left disappointed
John Bennett refused to comment on the quality of the squad, gave some decent insight into the situation with the Director of Football, and also explained that the £10.5m loss pre-player trading must reach “zero”.
“Rangers will go to a place where they don’t break even before player trading so don’t be concerned about that,” stated Bennett.
Promisingly, Bennett assured supporters that the club “will be ready” to back Philippe Clement when the time comes in the transfer market.
But it all felt a little underwhelming as fans try to understand the nuts and bolts of what’s going at the club and the Board try to avoid unnecessary headlines.
And perhaps more importantly, how the club plans to ensure it will not happen again.
With a microscope firmly over the club’s finances and Rangers’ on-pitch achievements, a defiant board might’ve navigated a tricky AGM this time around but they’re still under major pressure to get it right.
Rangers fans have been long-starved of consistent success and whilst those at the helm of the club undoubtedly have our best intentions at heart, they quite simply must find a way to deliver
