Deal Report: NFL star who’s earned $34m during career to sign for browns….

Griffin ended up starting six games as the Texans’ secondary was decimated by injury.

And Griffin made the most of his chance in Houston following a difficult two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars, which included a spell on injured reserve in 2022.

According to Pro Football Focus, the former third-round selection of the Seattle Seahawks recorded 33 tackles while allowing 27 receptions on 41 targets.

Griffin also intercepted quarterback Joe Burrow in their Week 10 victory against the Cincinnati Bengals, marking his first pick since 2020.

However, it doesn’t appear that this was sufficient to persuade the Texans to retain onto him.

On November 29, Griffin was waived due to his secondary healing and the re-signing of Desmond King from the practice squad.

But finding a new place to live didn’t take long for the veteran, who has made over $34 million in his career.

A day later, right before their first game under interim head coach Chris Tabor, the Panthers claimed him off waivers.

Griffin will be a part of a secondary that may soon see defensive backs Jeremy Chinn and Jaycee Horn back after they were both activated off injured reserve on Saturday.

When they play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 13, both are rated as doubtful

While Vonn Bell is out, fellow defensive back Troy Hill is also dubious.
