Five NFL Teams desperately select J.J. McCarthy and offer$69.5m and their best player in return…..

There’s been a lot of buzz in the NFL about a potential trade involving an AFC team and Michigan Wolverines quarterback JJ McCarthy. McCarthy’s stock has been on the rise ever since he led the Wolverines to a national championship victory over the Washington Huskies three months ago. Initially projected as a mid-to-late first-round pick, the 21-year-old is now expected to be one of the top choices in the upcoming draft.

According to Paul Allen, the radio play-by-play announcer for the Minnesota Vikings, the Denver Broncos are eager to make a move in the 2024 NFL Draft to secure a quarterback, with McCarthy being their top target. Allen mentioned that the Broncos are so determined to land McCarthy that they are willing to offer a significant package, including their No. 12 pick, All-Pro cornerback Patrick Surtain II, and their 2025 first-round pick.

Allen expressed his astonishment at the Broncos’ level of desperation, stating, “They’re so desperate out Denver way. I’m not kidding you man. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was ‘we want that 3 so badly we will give you [pick No.] 12, we will give you next year’s 1st-rounder, and we will give you Patrick Surtain II’. I’m not kidding you. They are that desperate.

The Chicago Bears seem set on selecting USC quarterback Caleb Williams with the first overall pick, while the Washington Commanders are likely to choose between McCarthy, LSU’s Jayden Daniels, or North Carolina’s Drake Maye at No. 2. As for the New England Patriots, they could potentially be open to trading their No. 3 pick if they decide they don’t need a quarterback.
