Kyle Shanahan announcement that he is leaving 49ers now another significant issue for team….

The San Francisco 49ers are getting ready for another Super Bowl matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Head coach Kyle Shanahan has gotten a lot of the credit for leading the 49ers to this stage. This is his second time attempting to win a Super Bowl against the Chiefs.

Shanahan has already built a great legacy for himself. However, with a Super Bowl victory tonight, Shanahan has the chance to do something no coach or manager in any major sport has ever done. Read below to find out what that is.

Mike Shanahan is mainly remembered for his head coach tenure with the Denver Broncos. That lasted from 1995-2008. He ended up winning two Super Bowl titles as head coach of the Broncos in 1997 and 1998 respectively.

However, Mike Shanahan did have a previous history with the Denver Broncos. That lasted from 1984-87. He was the wide receivers coach in his first season there and then got promoted to offensive coordinator for the next three seasons.

After that, Shanahan got his first head coach opportunity in 1988 with the Las Angeles Raiders. Unfortunately, that only lasted for two seasons. Then, he went back to the Broncos for two more seasons before joining the San Francisco 49ers’ coaching staff in 1992. Overall, Mike Shanahan was a football coach for 34 years.
