Josh Heupel and Tennessee did not go quietly into that good night in the Vols’ 29-16 loss to Florida on Saturday.
Even with victory well in hand for the Gators in The Swamp, Heupel refused to yield, instead calling a timeout with just seven seconds remaining in the impending loss. Unfortunately, Heupel’s tactic — which may have otherwise been begrudgingly respected for its competitiveness — nearly resulted in disaster for both teams.
