Breaking News: The Indiana Fever and fan-favorite veteran superstar have officially agreed to terminate their player contract due to…

Caitlin Clark has been rather silent despite the Indiana Fever making a number of summer changes in recent weeks.

The Fever signed two-time All-Star and three-time champion Natasha Howard and six-time All-Star and two-time WNBA champion DeWanna Bonner. The two agreed to one-year contracts costing at least $200,000, which is marginally less than the $250,000 maximum wage that the Fever paid to re-sign Clark’s backcourt colleague, guard Kelsey Mitchell.

However, Clark eventually shared her opinions on the team’s summer additions at Bonner’s introductory news conference on Monday, and they were largely favorable.

Clark remarked, “We didn’t really have much experience playing in playoff games [last year].” “I think it’s exactly what we needed in our locker room—adding pieces, players who have been in this league—they know what it takes to win, they know what it takes to make it to the Finals, they know what it takes to win championships.”

Together, Bonner and Howard have participated in 140 postseason games. The Fever’s entire squad played in just 19 postseason games prior to being swept by Bonner and the Connecticut Sun in the opening round of the previous season.

The 37-year-old Bonner, who spent the previous two seasons playing for the Sun under new Fever coach Stephanie White, endorsed the team’s youthful core, which includes Clark, Lexie Hull, and Aliyah Boston, by stating that she still hopes to “win another championship.”

A $78 million training facility in downtown Indianapolis was also announced as part of Indiana’s offseason efforts. It is scheduled to open in 2027, the last year of Clark’s rookie contract, which pays her an average of $84,517 year. Despite operating in a relatively small market, Clark praised Pacers Sports & Entertainment, the owner of the Fever and the NBA’s Pacers, for its willingness to invest in a club.

In my opinion, this is the best team in all of women’s sports. Regardless of the sport. For this team, I believe the upcoming years will be fantastic, and they will be for at least 10 years, and I hope we win some titles,” Clark stated
