Film study for the Georgia Bulldogs during Sunday’s meetings likely didn’t last too long, with not many negatives to go over from their dominant performance over Ole Miss. Plenty of Georgia’s stars shined in this game to help them run the Rebels back to Mississippi. One of the key players from this performance is linebacker CJ Allen.
With the Dawgs’ starting linebacker out in Jamon Dumas-Johnson, Allen got his first career start and showed out as he earns his first career accolade, being named the SCE Freshman Player of the Week for Week 11. He had nine tackles, which led the team, and also tallied a sack while holding Ole Miss to their lowest-scoring game of the season.
Allen follows up with Nazir Stackhouse, who added an SEC Player of the Week award in week 10 to his resume for his performance against Missouri.
