Ipswich FC announced Václav Hladký departure immediately after facing….

The goalkeeper has enjoyed a more successful 2023/24 campaign than he could have imagined before the start of the season.
Having been behind Christian Walton in the pecking order last term, he looked set to spend much of this campaign on the bench.
But instead, he has been one of the first names on the teamsheet under Kieran McKenna and has done more than enough to earn himself an extension at Portman Road.
The situation in the goalkeeping department is looking uncertain at Ipswich at the moment, with both Hladky and Walton’s contracts expiring at the end of the season. The club do have the option to extend the latter’s contract by a further 12 months beyond the summer, which gives McKenna’s side some security.
Still, both of these players may want to have clarity regarding their futures sooner rather than later, with off-field distractions not needed whilst they are trying to secure back-to-back promotions and battle the likes of Leeds United and Southampton.
