Am Sorry: Reason why I left 49ers today Kyle Shanahan decision announced….

The San Francisco 49ers have already undergone some serious changes to their coaching staff this offseason, bidding farewell to defensive coordinator Steve Wilks and then promoting another assistant, Nick Sorensen, to take over that role while also hiring former Los Angeles Chargers head coach Brandon Staley to serve as an assistant.

Additionally, the Niners have said goodbye to former running backs coach/assistant head coach Anthony Lynn and passing game coordinator Klint Kubiak, both of whom left for other positions after the Super Bowl.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan has dealt with plenty of departures before, so the latest run of assistants isn’t anything new.

On Friday, though, news broke that Shanahan was going to stage a franchise reunion with someone who previously worked with San Francisco and is now back on the staff.
