Unai Emery’s fourth-placed Villa are 11 points ahead of the Red Devils, who are in sixth spot, with only 11 matches of the season left to play. Villa extended their lead over United at the weekend as they beat Luton Town on Saturday before the Red Devils lost to Manchester City on Sunday, but Neville still thinks his former club can catch Villa in the run-in.

Fellow Sky Sports pundit Roy Keane, however, thinks it will be tough for United to catch Villa. “It is going to be very difficult,” he responded. “You look at the whole season and this team seems to be all about moments.

“When you have invested that money and the quality that they have, you feel like they need a bit more than that. The games we have looked at over the last few months, we just haven’t seen that consistent performance.
