In-state quarterback drawing interest from Vols, getting early offers….

Hugh Price emerged as a major college prospect last year even before he made the first start of his high school career, earning early scholarship offers from Michigan, Pittsburgh and Boston College going into his sophomore year. He recently added a couple more offers, and he’s already hearing from a few SEC schools, including Tennessee.
The Class of 2026 quarterback from Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, Tenn., now has received offers from five Power Four schools after picking up offers from Louisville and Indiana coming off his sophomore season. Penn State, Auburn and LSU are among the other teams showing interest in him, and he said the home-state Vols have indicated that they’re now taking “a pretty serious look at me.
Joey Halzle, Tennessee’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, stopped at MBA on Jan. 26 to check on Price. Halzle returned a week later and got a chance to watch Price throw in person during the Vols’ final day on the road ahead of National Signing Day.
