Great news: javio Butts n Talks Tennessee Offer New…

Jones County High School safety Javion Butts held eight offers entering his junior season and had another strong year on the gridiron. He’s added twelve offers since then and now holds an offer sheet consisting of schools like Kentucky, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Texas A&M The Vols offered Butts in December after he amassed 51 tackles, six pass deflections, and two interceptions at Jones County. He caught up with Volunteer Country to break down the moment of his Tennessee offer and how the Vols used multiple coaches to create a special scene for him.

“The offer meant a little more to me than some of the others because it was my first SEC offer, so it just meant a lot, especially being in Georgia where everybody here roots for Georgia,” Butts stated to Volunteer Country. “Coach [Danny] O’Rourke called me, but he gave the phone to coach [Tim] Banks, and he offered me. Coach[Josh] Heupel also came down to my school and talked. I talk with Coach O’Rourke a lot. He sends me motivational videos a lot, and I enjoy talking with him.

The talk with Coach Heupel wasn’t very long. He was saying I’m a priority, of course, and he was looking forward to getting me up there. They think I’m a great player and they have great facilities and great coaches that’ll make me the best player I can be.” He has mentioned to Volunteer Country that he also feels he could play in any spot in the secondary for Tennessee. Tennessee seems to be in a prime position in this recruitment as they have made a great opening impression. Butts has scheduled an official visit with the North Carolina Tarheels for the summer.
