Amazing: Dalton knect Awarded with huge Ransom as the best SEC player of the year today……

Dalton Knecht took home SEC Player of the Week honors on Monday, capping off an impressive opening week for the Tennessee Volunteers.
Knecht is an incoming transfer for the Volunteers this season and had an impressive start to his Tennessee career.
Through the first 2 games for Tennessee, the Northern Colorado transfer is averaging 20.5 points per game, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist. He’s shooting 53.8% from the floor while knocking down 3-of-10 3-point attempts in the young season.
Last Friday, Knecht led the Volunteers to an 80-70 win over the Wisconsin Badgers. Knecht poured in 24 points on 8-of-15 shooting and 1-for-4 from the 3-point line. He also added 5 rebounds and 2 assists, and went 7-for-9 from the free throw line. Knecht has proven to be the Volunteers’ best-shot creator so far this season, and he hit some huge shots down the stretch to help Tennessee put away the Badgers.
He has led all scorers in both of Tennessee’s games so far.
The 6-foot-6 guard is the 11th different Volunteer to earn at least one SEC Player of the Week distinction in Rick Barnes’ 9-year tenure. He is the first to receive the distinction since Zakai Zeigler on Jan. 30, 2023.
