Worst night ever mare as Marcus Peters announced that He is leaving the Club Before Friday…

Following their seventh loss of the season Sunday, the Raiders have made a change entering the bye week. This time being Marcus Peters going out the door.
Reports surfaced Monday morning that cornerback Marcus Peters has been waived by the Las Vegas Raiders. The move comes after the player was benched in Week 7’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Additionally, Peters’ departure saves the Silver & Black $1.5 million this season.
“Just decided to move forward. I wish Marcus Peters the best,” interim coach Antonio Pierce said Monday. “We had a great conversation last night, great conversation this morning, and we’ll just stick with that.”
Marcus Peters, 30, signed with his hometown team prior to the start of the 2023 season. Through 12 games, the veteran has 43 combined tackles, five pass breakups and one interception, which he returned for a touchdown in Week 8.
His play had dropped off as the season went on, however, with tackling and effort issues being a primary concern. Those factors, along with others, forced interim coach Antonio Pierce to bench Peters in Week 12.
He was waived the next day Monday, allowing other teams the chance to claim him off the wire.
The former Pro Bowl CB has played for the Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, and Baltimore Ravens before joining Las Vegas. He has accumulated almost 400 tackles, 33 INTS and 97 pass breakups in 116 games played.
