Deeply shocked and so sad to hear About what just happened to Kirby Smart….

College football has officially entered the offseason stage as the national championship game concluded on Monday with Michigan taking home the trophy over Washington. Every program is now focused on getting prepared for the 2024 college football season. Teams just finished maneuvering through the first window of the transfer portal, but that doesn’t necessarily mean programs are safe from any further changes.

One thing that programs like Georgia always have to be mindful of when entering the offseason is other programs chasing after members of their coaching staff. The Bulldogs have already experienced that once as the defensive backs coach Fran Brown was named the head coach at Syracuse at the end of the season, and Georgia then went and hired Donte Williams from USC.

Another change that occurred within the coaching staff was Georgia hired Alabama’s defensive backs coach Travaris Robinson to coach safeties and be co-defensive coordinator alongside Schumann. This resulted from Will Muschamp electing to take a step back into an analyst position so that he could spend more time with his family this next season. There has been some chatter about Robinson potentially taking the defensive coordinator position at Alabama now that Kalen DeBoer has been hired, but Chris Low at ESPN has reported that he will remain with the Bulldogs after taking an interview with the Crimson Tide.
