Aonther huge setbact :as Wilfred N’didi set to leave…

With a record points tally firmly in sight, the board should perhaps cast one eye ahead to the summer and prepare for what is looking like a cast-iron Premier League return.

The likes of Stephy Mavididi, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Mads Hermansen and Kasey McAteer provide Maresca with an exciting core, with new signings surely arriving to bolster their top-flight aspirations.

However, with six players out of contract, there could be some high-profile exits from the King Power.

Here we take a look at the SIX players whose contracts conclude in the summer of 2024.

Nigerian midfielder Wilfred N’didi is another player who could be set for pastures new.

The 27-year-old signed for Leicester in 2017, penning a six-year contract extension a year after his arrival. With the midfielder yet to commit his long-term future to The Foxes, a summer departure is certainly on the cards. The Telegraph reported that Nottingham Forest were interested in N’didi – and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Nigerian international move to a Premier League club when his contract expires in just a matter of months

Kelechi Iheanacho is another who is headed for the exit door, although his future is a little less clear-cut.

The 27-year-old signed an extension in 2021 after impressing under Brendan Rodgers in the Premier League

According to Daily Mail reporter Tom Collomosse, the board haven’t given up hope of agreeing a new deal with the former Manchester City striker ahead of what’s looking like Leicester’s imminent return to the Premier League.

Interest from elsewhere could emerge with journalist Michael van Vaerenbergh claiming Real Betis are interested in Iheanacho – the striker’s future is certainly one to keep a close eye on.
