AM LEAVING: WR George Pickens accepted a deal of $89.5 millions to depart from Steelers Today after…….

I think we have established that Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens is pretty good at football.

With 1:55 to go in the first half of Sunday night’s game, Pickens gets his first NFL touchdown and does it in exactly the fashion you would expect from the dynamic rookie. Pickens hauled in the seven-yard pass from rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett and tapped both toes in before hitting the ground. We’d love to say it is the best catch Pickens has had this season but he has quickly shown these sorts of catches are routine for the former Georgia star.

The biggest story for the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday was the huge performance by wide receiver Goerge Pickens. After several bad weeks, Pickens bounced back with four receptions for 195 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns.

This feat was made more remarkable when you consider just how poorly Pickens had played. But maybe three straight weeks of public criticism motivated him to play harder. After the game, Pickens was asked what he learned this week and his answer was exactly what you would have expected.

“I probably just say I kept receipts for sure, but guys and people, they just got a job to do,” Pickens said. “That’s probably the biggest thing I took out of it.
