Just Now: Falcons Offers $60m & Kyle Pitts For Bears Justin Fields……

After Kliff Kingsbury pulled out of the running for the Las Vegas Raiders offensive coordinator position, the team is now reportedly set to hire Luke Getsy, the former Chicago Bears’ OC, who was fired by the Bears last month.

The 39-year-old Getsy was among a group of five known candidates up for the Raiders job under head coach Antonio Pierce, after Pierce had the interim tag removed following the regular season.

Pierce took over for the fired Josh McDaniels when McDaniels was fired midseason.

Among the other coaches considered for the Raiders’ OC position were Alex Van Pelt, who took the same job with the New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers receivers coach Mike Sullivan and UCLA head coach Chip Kelly, as well as Kingsbury, who is also being considered for the Washington Commanders’ OC job.

Pierce said he wanted an offensive coordinator that would enable the Raiders to “run the football.”

While with the Bears and quarterback Justin Fields, Getsy ran an offense that led the NFL in rushing in 2022 (177.3 yards per game) and was second last season (141.1).
