Arron Lyall announcement that he is leaving Rangers now another significant issue for club…..

Rangers midfielder Arron Lyall has emerged as a loan target for Airdrieonians in the January transfer window, according to the Daily Record.

The newspaper reported on their transfer centre on 19 January at 14:46 that the 20-year-old will be allowed to leave Gers this month on loan.

He’s already enjoyed a loan spell previously at Inverness and Gers are keen for him to continue his development.

Lyall was unlikely to get too many minutes or another senior game of football from now until the end of the season under Philippe Clement.

While Lyall has already gained valuable experience during his loan spell at Inverness, a move to Airdrieonians offers him another opportunity to enhance his skills in a competitive environment.

Playing regular first-team football with Airdrieonians, especially in the context of a Scottish Cup clash with St Johnstone, would expose him to different tactical challenges and enhance his adaptability on the field.

The Scottish club’s interest in Lyall indicates their recognition of his potential contributions, and the loan move could provide him with increased playing time, allowing him to further refine his abilities.

Additionally, competing in a different footballing context and under the management of Rhys McCabe could contribute to Lyall’s overall footballing education.

The 20-year-old who made his senior debut for Rangers in 2023 when he replaced Ryan Jack is also expected to welcome this move with open arms.

In other Rangers news, a £4.8million bid update has emerged as development occurs in Gers’ quest to seal a January signing.
