Many of the nation’s best will be competing and playing in one of the most decorated high school games this month in the Polynesian Bowl.
It will feature prospects signed from various programs including Michigan. Defensive lineman Deyvid Palepale, who signed with the Wolverines in early signing period, arrived to the Aloha State over the weekend and spoke to 247Sports about the opportunity to partake in this historic event.
Michigan made the final ten for 2025 four-star cornerback Mark Zackery IV on Monday, he reported via his Twitter account. The Wolverines were joined by Oregon, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Georgia, Purdue, Penn State, Tennessee, Cincinnati and USC.
The early belief is that Michigan may be battling Ohio State and Notre Dame in Zackery’s recruitment. The Indianapolis (IN) native attends Ben Davis, the same high school that produced former Michigan standout Chris Evans.
Zackery was among those who heaped the biggest praise on the Wolverines after they won the National Championship last week
Just seeing them go through this season with a mindset they had of going to the national championship and they achieved that,” Zackery told 247Sports Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong. “Playing in a program at Ben Davis (High School), a winning culture, winning two state championships for basketball and football it means a lot for a school recruiting me heavily that’s in the national championship game. They’re winning culture (stands out) and how they care for their team and the players they just have. When I went to my visit I could see they have a grit to them and a hunger. I could feel it coming off them even at practice. They were going super hard. To have that grit and want to to get to a national championship and get where they want to be, I feel I would fit that.”
There are no 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions in for Zackery at this point. He is ranked 61st overall in the 2025 Top247.
