Michigan tight end AJ Barner has declared for the NFL Draft. The Indiana transfer, who won a Big Ten and national title with the Wolverines during his lone season in Ann Arbor, announced the news Monday night via social media.

Barner’s goodbye message reads as follows:

It has been a privilege and honor to play football at the collegiate level for the past four years. Thank you lord for the many blessings that you have put in my life. “For those who love God all things work together for good” Romans 8:28.

 

 

To my family. thank you for your endless love and support in whatever I do. Specifically, my Mom, Dad, and sisters, you are my biggest fans and have believed in me from the beginning. Thank you to the community of Aurora, Ohio. You motivate me more than anything, and I am working everyday to make you proud. I will continue to be an Inspiration. and prove that anything can be accomplished with hard work and dedication. Thank you to Indiana University for providing me with a foundation during my first three college years. I grew as a man and football player during my time in Bloomington, and am grateful for that part of my journey.

 

Thank you to the University of Michigan. To be a Michigan man means everything to me and I will proudly represent Michigan for the rest of my life. To team 144, the most selfless loving group of brothers I have ever been around, thank you for the many memories on and off of the field. Our hard work has made history: Big10 Champions, Rose Bowl Champions, and NATIONAL CHAMPIONS.
