Burnley’s survival hopes have been dealt a hammer blow by news Luca Koleosho will be out for months with a knee injury.
Koleosho was injured in the first half of Tuesday’s defeat at Wolves and Vincent Kompany says he hopes the Italy Under-21 winger will be back before the end of the season. Koleosho, 19, tried to play on when he first suffered the injury at Molineux and Kompany says his scan results are not good.
“It’s bad news for us,” said the Burnley boss. “He’s going to be out for a while apparently. I’d like to think he’ll still play this season, but it might be towards the end of the season. We’ll do everything we can to make sure that he’ll get back healthy and ready to go again.”
