Jeff Brohm Already Has His Fingerprint Over All the….

University of Louisville football coach Jeff Brohm and his staff have already signed 27 new players for next season’s roster. The Cardinals have seven high school signees already enrolled, eight other high school prospects set to arrive in the near future, and a nice haul of 12 players that the Cardinals’ have landed out of the transfer portal.

“We like what we have done,” Brohm said on Wednesday. “We feel like we have a lot of players that can come in and help us win.”

But the staff is not finished adding players. Brohm said on Wednesday that his staff still had “plenty of room” to add more transfers down the line, while Cardinal Authority has confirmed after the two additions on Wednesday (Joe Crocker and Woo Spencer) that the Cardinals have seven remaining spots on the roster.

There are still plenty of options in the transfer portal, but the portal will also be opened again May 1-15 for the second window that players can enter.

“Believe it or not, we have quite a bit of room left,” Brohm said. “I’m not used to that. Where I have been we have had a hard time fitting guys into your roster. We have plenty of room to continue to recruit and continue to add to our team and where we feel positions that could help us.”
