“it’s not Goodbye but see You again” Louisville Super Star Depart..

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – I’m picturing Kentucky’s football players and coaches sitting around earlier this week in one of those positive visualization exercises you hear about, and they’re talking about every positive thing that could happen for the team in its rivalry meeting with Louisville, if they could draw it up themselves.

You might’ve heard things like Barion Brown going untouched 102 yards for a kickoff return touchdown, or Ray Davis scoring a go-ahead touchdown and then sprinting straight to rap star Jack Harlow’s seats and flashing the L’s down, or having zero penalties, or having huge plays from Louisville area natives JJ Weaver (Moore High, game MVP), Izayah Cummings (Male, 55-yard reception) and Jordan Lovett (Radcliff, North Hardin, game-clinching interception).

You certainly would’ve heard about the Wildcats walking off the L&N Stadium field with a fifth straight win in the series, the highest-ranked win in the Mark Stoops era and eighth-highest in school history, and leaving a permanent blemish on what has been a stunningly successful start to Jeff Brohm’s Louisville tenure.

This wasn’t the blowout that UK has come to expect in recent years, but it was perhaps more enjoyable in the iconic moment department. It was eminently more Instagram-able. Kentucky beat Louisville 38-31, and once again, will laugh its way back to Lexington.
