Another Heavy Setback as Ja’Marr Chase Announced That He Is leaving the….

The last play Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins made in Paycor Stadium was an acrobatic highlight that no one will soon forget. It may also be the last play he ever makes in front of the Bengals’ home crowd.

Higgins, whose rookie contract expires in two months, is doubtful for Cincinnati’s season finale against the Cleveland Browns. Zac Taylor and the team will see where Higgins is at Saturday, and fellow wideout Ja’Marr Chase is officially playing.

Higgins (hamstring) was officially a DNP Friday after not practicing at all Wednesday or Thursday. Chase was a full participant the last two practices.

Running back Joe Mixon was back at practice after missing Thursday with an illness. He needs two touchdowns against Cleveland to reach 10 on the season, which would also earn him an incentive bonus of $100,000.

Cornerbacks Chidobe Awuzie (shoulder) and Jalen Davis (groin) are questionable. Awuzie missed Friday’s practice while Davis was limited.

Wide receiver Trenton Irwin popped up on Friday’s report with a hamstring injury, but was a full participant and will play Sunday.
