Another Heavy Setback As Gary Barnidge, Announced That He Is leaving The Cardinals Before….

A school record four former University of Louisville football players have been added to the NFL Pro Bowl roster, the league announced on Monday.

Tight end Gary Barnidge, outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil, center Eric Wood and quarterback Teddy Bridgewater were added to the rosters for the January 31 all-star game at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii.

This is the most players the Cards have sent to the Pro Bowl since three former Cards (Sam Madison, David Akers and Ted Washington) played in the game in 2001.

Barnidge, who played for the Cardinals from 2004-07, had a career year playing for the Cleveland Browns. Barnidge, who was a fifth-round selection by Carolina in 2008, entered his eighth NFL season with 44 receptions, 603 yards and three touchdowns.

However, he made the most of his opportunity by leading all Browns’ receivers with 79 receptions for 1,043 yards and nine touchdowns. Barnidge tied Hall of Famer Ozzie Newsome with the most touchdowns by a tight end in franchise history and was second for most yards
