Michigan sign $200m transfer offensive lineman from Northwestern for key star Replacement……

Michigan football has picked up a second player from the transfer portal, landing Northwestern offensive lineman Josh Priebe on Thursday.
Priebe, listed at 6-foot-5 and 310 pounds, announced his commitment to the Wolverines in a post on social media declaring himself “excited for the next chapter.”
A Niles, Mich., native, Priebe appeared in 36 games for the Wildcats from 2020 until this year, when he was named a third-team all-Big Ten selection at guard by the coaches and media.
Because he played during the pandemic-shortened season, Priebe has one year of college eligibility remaining and will be immediately available for Michigan in 2024.
His addition comes as Michigan is expected to lose several starters along its offensive line, including multi-year starting guards Zak Zinter and Trevor Keegan to the 2024 NFL Draft. Giovanni El-Hadi and Jeffrey Persi are also expected to be in the mix for starting roles on the inside.
Priebe was a three-star prospect from Edwardsburg High School, where he was a first-team all-state selection in football as a junior and and helped lead the Eddies to an MHSAA Division 4 state title in 2018. He was also a power lifter for three seasons.
Michigan and its former offensive line coach, Ed Warinner, offered Priebe a scholarship during high school, but he chose the Wildcats over the Wolverines and several other Big Ten schools.
Priebe is the second transfer portal pickup for the Wolverines this month, after Maryland linebacker Jaishawn Barham picked Michigan on Dec. 20. The program has lost one player to the transfer portal this cycle so far: Reserve running back Capers “CJ” Stokes.
