Joe Milton III finally announced he is leaving Volunteers tomorrow because…..

A dynamic playmaker with a sky-high ceiling, Tennessee Volunteers quarterback Joe Milton III is an athletic marvel and physical freak at the quarterback position.
With a rocket arm, prototypical size, and now an offense that has put up big numbers annually for several years at his disposal, Milton looks to catapult himself into a new stratosphere of draft prospects and finally live up to the potential he’s shown going all the way back to the prep level.
Here’s everything you need to know about one of this year’s most promising quarterback prospects as we look ahead to the 2024 NFL Draft.
Milton was born in Pahokee, FL and played his high school football at Olympia HS in Orlando. There, he earned himself a 3-star status (247 Sports) en route to enrolling at the University of Michigan. Milton was forced to bide his time with the program; sitting behind Shea Patterson for his first two seasons with the team before being given a chance to start during the COVID-19 shortened 2020 season.
Milton saw the starting job slip through his fingers in favor of Cade McNamara and eventually transferred to Tennessee. At Tennessee in 2021, Milton lost out on the starting job to fellow transfer Hendon Hooker, attempting just 62 passes on the season. Hooker retained the starting job in 2022 until a season-ending injury. Milton stepped in as the starter and posted video game numbers, setting him up for a big 2023 CFB season.
