Before this season even started, people noticed that Michigan junior quarterback JJ McCarthy was rocking a visor, which everyone loved. It was a clean, fresh new look for the talented quarterback and so far he’s undefeated with the visor. Now, he’s upgraded his look again, this time on his cleats.
It’s subtle. It’s appropriate. It’s beautiful.
The classy maize and blue Jordan 1 cleats adorned with a very simple red and green rose, which absolutely pops on the back of the footwear, is reminiscent of the old, jumbo shoulder patches that Michigan used to wear in the Rose Bowl.
Not only does this look awesome, I think it highlights the fact that McCarthy’s feet are going to be extremely important against Alabama. We all know that Bama quarterback Jalen Milroe is a major threat as a runner and I think it would be huge for Michigan if McCarthy hurts the Tide with his legs as much as possible.
