Done deal: Cleveland Browns Sign Grant Delpit Contract Extension After Flacco sucking complain……

There was some question as to whether the Cleveland Browns would allow Grant Delpit to head into free agency after this season.
The Browns and Delpit have reached an agreement on a new contract, according to the OBR’s Brad Stainbrook.
The news of an extension was broken in the OBR’s Insider Central section at 5:30am this morning, then followed up with a contract prediction piece on what we believe the extension should cost slightly after.
The LSU product missed his rookie season after an Achilles injury. He started the 2023 season in blistering fashion, looking like one of the best safeties in the league. Since then, his play has dipped, landing 56th out of 65 safeties in missed tackles at 18.3% and allowing 94.4% of his targets to become receptions, which is currently dead last in the NFL.
The 25-year-old Delpit is in his fourth season with the Browns and would be headed to free agency without signing the new contract. He was originally a second-round draft pick in the 2020 draft, although he did not play that season due to Achilles tendon tear. He returned in 2021 to start seven games and ascended to a full-time starting role in 2023.
Welcome to this VIP series where I will be taking a look at the upcoming Cleveland Browns players who are either free agents this offseason or could realistically be extended. Each time I will be looking at a different player working from the offensive side of the ball to the defensive side.
There has been extensive talks of a Delpit extension happening so here is a look at what it should have cost in my eyes.
