Two Key Phoenix announcement that he is leaving the Suns now another significant issue for the team…

The Phoenix Suns are finalizing their plans to face the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA’s inaugural in-season tournament quarterfinals on Tuesday.
If going to the playoffs in Las Vegas on Thursday wasn’t incentive enough, the Lakers had already defeated the Suns in their last two meetings to start the 2023–24 season.
Phoenix has struggled mightily with injuries, with all three of its key players—Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, and Kevin Durant—missing varying lengths of time.
In the team’s shootaround on Monday, Suns coach Frank Vogel gave updates on Booker/Beal:
Vogel on Booker (via Kellan Olson): “Frank Vogel said there was minimal soreness for Devin Booker’s ankle following Saturday’s win and that Booker should be good to go for the in-season tournament quarterfinals on Tuesday against the Lakers.
For Booker, who has struggled with issues including calf strains, sprained ankles, and toe sprains since participating in preseason action, this is wonderful news. He did participate in Saturday’s game in Phoenix’s victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.
Lower back injury has kept Beal out of the bulk of games thus far; he last played on November 12. As a result, the former Wizards guard is approaching the conclusion of Phoenix’s self-imposed three-week recovery period.
A little later tonight, the Suns and Lakers will both provide injury updates.
