The Milwaukee Bucks eliminated the Miami Heat from the NBA’s In-Season Tournament tournament on November 28, winning 131-124.
Heat center Bam Adebayo led the team with 31 points, also chipping in 10 rebounds and five assists. It was Adebayo’s highest-scoring game of the season so far, and the 26-year-old big’s 10th double-double. After Milwaukee’s win, Bucks star Damian Lillard gave Bam his flowers.
“I’m real close with Bam,” Lillard told Five Reasons Sports after the Bucks’ win. “After the game, I told him: ‘You got better.’ I always loved his game, but he actually got better. He knows I wouldn’t just say that

With 31 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists, Heat center Bam Adebayo led the squad. It was also Adebayo’s highest-scoring game of the season—his 10th double-double as a big man—at 26 years old. Bucks star Damian Lillard gave Bam his flowers after Milwaukee’s victory.
Following the Bucks’ victory, Lillard said to Five Reasons Sports, “I’m real close with Bam.” “You got better,” I told him after the game. His game has always been my favorite, although he did get better. He is aware that I wouldn’t say that.
Naturally, Lillard had desired a trade to Miami throughout the summer, but Joe Cronin, his previous general manager in Portland, had favored Milwaukee. This season, the two clubs have already faced off twice: on October 30 in Milwaukee and on October 28 in Miami. Both games were won by the Bucks, despite Adebayo’s absence from the October contest.
The Heat were severely depleted in manpower during their November 28 loss to Milwaukee. Jimmy Butler, a top player for Miami, was sidelined due to a sprained right ankle. Both starting forward Haywood Highsmith (lower back) and starting shooting guard Tyler Herro (ankle) missed the game.
After the Heat’s loss to Milwaukee, head coach Erik Spoelstra said, “It’s unfortunate because I thought we played a very good basketball game.” Spoelstra spoke to the South Florida Sun Sentinel. We did enough, in my opinion, to at least improve our chances of winning the game.
