News Report: Cleveland Browns breakout star candidate for week 13…

It would be an understatement to say that the Cleveland Browns’ regular season has been an incredible journey as we approach the home stretch. They are now 7-4 and looking for a postseason spot, but some players will need to step up or have a breakthrough season in order for them to do so.

To put it plainly, this season’s pass-catchers for the Browns have struggled mightily with dropping passes. In terms of drop %, Deshaun Watson, PJ Walker, and Dorian Thompson-Robinson lead the league. That isn’t a winning strategy. One player, though, has the potential to soar and turn around that awful trend.

He hauled in 55 yards from four receptions on five targets, including a huge gain of 23 yards. Moreover, he caught three passes for a first down. Tillman made some difficult receptions and showed the good hands we saw at the University of Tennessee during a season filled with a lot of drops.

Given that DTR is a part of the concussion protocol, there’s a decent probability that seasoned Joe Flacco will start this week in LA. Perhaps Flacco can get Tillman going early and set him up for a big game that results in victory. With his bulk and powerful hands, Tillman might be a valuable asset to the Browns when it comes to moving the chains at pivotal times.

It was clear that the front staff believed Tillman could be a long-term player intended to take the position of someone like Donovan Peoples-Jones when he was drafted. Tillman’s future might be now after DPJ was traded before the deadline. Will he come through for us? It will take time to tell.

If Cleveland want to defeat the LA Rams, who have been playing excellent football lately, they will need a major intervention. Elijah Moore hasn’t changed the game as much as many had hoped up until this time. David Njoku and Amari Cooper have both been excellent, but Chief has been having a lot of mental slips lately. Tillman could be just the spark that’s needed.
