Deal Report: Dallas Cowboys Ex QB after latest Injury update….

The Houston Texans are now playing “Musical Chairs” at the kicker position, still smarting from a missed field goal last Sunday that may have been the difference between winning and losing in the AFC playoff race.

The Texans worked out with two veteran kickers on Tuesday, including Brett Maher, who was most recently with the Dallas Cowboys. They also decided to add Matt Ammendola back to the team after he was dismissed at the beginning of the week.

Last Sunday, Maher Cow Ammendola missed a 58-yard field goal that struck the crossbar, preventing the Texans from forcing overtime in their game against the Jacksonville Jaguars for first place.

Houston lost against Jacksonville 24-21 as a result of the attempted game-tying kick failing.

Coach DeMeco Ryans declared immediately following the game, “We’ll keep going with Matt.” We’ll continue and provide him with chances.

And that might turn out to be the case while the group waits for Ka’imi Fairbairn to return from IR in good health. Next week, that might take place.
